About Gezira University
Established in 1975, University of Gezira is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Wad Medani, Al Jazirah. The University of Gezira was established to serve the community, and to link education with the requirements of development and make it more relevant to human and environmental needs. It is in the top 10 universities of Sudan and is one of the top 3 higher education institutions in Sudan with the highest research output.

The Training Centre in Communication(TCC Africa), is the first African-based training centre to teach effective communication skills to scientists. TCC Africa is an award winning Trust, established as a non-profit entity in 2006 and is registered in Kenya. TCC Africa provides capacity support in improving researchers output and visibility through training in scholarly and science communication.
